US unrest following the death in Minneapolis of George Floyd in police custody, follow live
Here’s 100,000 Americans who have lost their lives, people are losing their jobs, it is the worst crisis since the great depression, people are literally looking over a cliff. When you release a video… Your evidence shows, the truth isreally revealed. These young people, they haven’t really seen something like this, and to see an officer placehis knee on the neck of a citizen with his hands in his pockets and staring down the camera heartless, that scene right there gave young people, and a lot ofthese people that are protesting our 25 and under, this generation is not the civil Rights generation, this generation are ready for change and they are the internet social media generation. So it is quick, they need quick, immediate answers and quick, immediate justice and theyare not getting that.
“When President Trump comes out and says if you lose, we shoot, these young folks are finding that as a threatand it is infuriating them. I think the President should have come out and said, you know what, young people, you know what, America, we have to get down to the bottom of this. Give me time, be patient. Not, we are going to combat this with more anger and fire and fury. You are dealing with American public who are on edge, I mean, extremely onedge after this video. Anyone who has seen it all over the world are disgusted, they cannot believe that this man died by the hand of police on film. You would think it was a movie but it was reality. This is the reality of far too many Americans.”
